The opening of private gardens and the flower festival in St. Bartholomew's Church has become an annual and popular event which attracted approximately 2,000 visitors over
the Spring Bank Holiday on Sunday 30th and Monday 31st May 2010.
We hope that all our new and regular visitors enjoyed their day out in our village. 15 gardens opened to the public, and several owners were on hand to discuss their garden or for a chat.

Entrance £3.50 (children free!)
Fresh meals and snacks were prepared and served all day, with cakes, teas and coffees to keep everyone refreshed. The bar was open and there was seating both inside and outside the Village Hall in the glorious sunshine. The theme of the Flower Festival in St. Bartholomew's Church was "A day out". Entertainment Free taxis around the villagewww.suttoncoldfield-beekeepers.co.uk Barton Fiddle Folk were with us again this year.This small group of Church goers from Barton Under Needwood are led by Carol Smith, and they do sterling work by peforming for numerous charities. Amington are a local tradional British Brass Band and they entertained us musically on both days.Their website is www.amingtonband.co.uk Plant Sales - bedding, shrubs and perenials grown locally by both villagers and a nursery based here in the village.
