St. Bartholomew's Church Organ

The organ mentioned in Shaw's Stafforshire as "suitable to its diminuitive size" was replaced by this organ in 1883.

It was built by Mr E J Bossward of Birmingham and has been refurbished on several occasions since, notably in 1967, 1971, and 1974 when extensive tonal alterations were carried out by another Midlands organ builder, Messrs Hawkins of Walsall Wood.

The organ is played regularly by different local musicians to meet the needs of each service. The church family at St Bartholomew's is very fortunate to have such talented people.
