Thank you for visiting our web site. Hints Village and the Canwell Estate together comprise the Parish of "Hints with Canwell" in the South of the County of Staffordshire, England. The Parish is rural and some areas have been deemed Conservation Areas of outstanding beauty. In the last Census there were 300 adults in the Parish, and in 2002 there were approximately 78 children under 16, making about 400 persons in the whole Parish. Our small but active population has retained a community spirit, and our local halls see regular social and fund raising events. Annually in August Canwell hosts the Canwell Show which is one of the largest agricultural and country shows in the midlands, and every Spring the Village of Hints holds a flower festival and Open Gardens which attracts many thousands of visitors each Year.
