Thank you for visiting our website. Hints Village and the Canwell Estate comprise the Parish of "Hints with Canwell" in the South of the County of Staffordshire, England. The Parish is rural and some areas are deemed Conservation Areas of outstanding beauty.
At the 2021 census the Parish had 336 residents of which 35 were aged 15 years or under, 222 were aged 16 to 64, and 79 were 65 years or over. The 2011 census recorded 355 residents, of which 57 were under 18 years, and 75 were 65 years or over.
Our small but active population has retained a community spirit, and our local halls hold regular social and other events. Hints village hall is light and airy with a capacity for 150 people, with a stage, a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge. Quinney hall has a stage and can accommodate 100 people, with good kitchen facilities and also a separate meeting room for about 10 people. Annually, Canwell hosts one of the largest agricultural and country shows in the Midlands.
