These Floyer Family wills and codicils are, at the time of writing (October 2001), amongst the oldest documents through which we can see the world of the early Hints residents. In their original form they are not easy to read, and sometimes they contain Latin, which also present serious challenges not just in being difficult to read, but also being difficult to translate. Thanks are due yet again to Syliva Dibbsfor the translation of these wills and associated documents.

The text is laid out, as far as possible, as it appears in the handwritten originals.
